• Bacteria are single celled and do not have a nucleus
• Bacteria have a circular chromosome of DNA

• Some Bacteria can photosynthesis but most feed on other organisms
• Examples of Bacteria; Lactobacillus and salmonella.
• Viruses are particles rather than cells and are smaller than Bacteria
• Viruses are parasites so they can only reproduce within living cells
• Viruses have a protein coat and can come in different shapes and sizes
• Examples of Viruses; HIV, Influenza Virus and Tobacco Mesaic Virus
