• Benedicts test for Glucose

  It will go from blue to brick red
• Iodine test for Starch

  It will go from browny-orange to blue-black
• Biuret test for Proteins

  2cm3 of food solution

  2cm3 of biuret solution

  It will go from blue to pink

   

   
• Sudan III Test for Lipids

  5cm3 of food solution

  3 drops of Sudan III solution

  Gently shake

  The top layer will turn bright red
