Central Nervous System - serve as the main processing center for the entire nervous system.
Brain
Spinal Cord
Brain - This is an organ located within the skull that function as organizer and distributor of information for the body, has main three parts :
Cerebrum
Cerebellum
Spinal Cord
Cerebrum - large, upper part of the brain that controls activity and thought
Spinal Cord - this serve as a channel for signals between the brain and the rest of the body, and control simple moscow loskeletal reflexes without input from the brain.
Brain Stem - the part that connects the brain to the spinal cord and controls automatic functions such as breathing, digestion, heart rate, and blood pressure
Cerebellum - the under part the cerebrum that controls posture, balance, and coordination
Peripheral Nervous System - connects the central nervous system to the organ and limbs
Somatic Nervous System
Autonomic Nervous System
Somatic Nervous System - this system is associated with the voluntary control of the body movement and has two main parts :
Spinal Nerves
Cranial Nerves
Spinal Nerves - the nerves that carry motor and sensor signals between the spinal cord and the body
Cranial Nerves - the nerve fibers that carry information into and out of the brain stem
Autonomic Nervous System - this system is associated with involuntary control of body movement and has two subdivisions
Sympathetic
Parasympathetic
Parasympathetic - it maintains body function and restore the body to normal or relaxed mode.
Sympathetic - it is activated when the body is in a dynamic role of stress
