Osmosis

• Osmosis is the movement of water molecules from a region of high water concentration to a region of low water concentration
• Osmosis happens in the root hair cells of plants
• The process of osmosis occurs when there is an imbalance between solute concentrations on either side of a partially permeable membrane, resulting in net diffusion of water across the membrane until equilibrium is reached.
