  • Colonial Mentality
    The internalized attitude of ethnic or cultural inferiority felt by people as a result of colonization. It corresponds with the belief that the cultural values of the colonizer are inherently superior to one's own.
  • Complacence
    Calm or secure satisfaction with oneself or one's lot.
  • Crab Mentality
    An analogy to the selfish and envious behaviour of someone upon other people's success. Is also defined as someone's tendency to pull down people around them who they consider are better than them in any aspect.
  • Delinquent
    Typically refers to a person, especially a young person, who regularly engages in illegal or antisocial behaviour.
  • Educational System
    Includes the full range of formal and non-formal learning opportunities available to children, young people, and adults in a given country or society, whether they are provided and /or financed by state of non-state entities.
  • Extreme Personalism
    Takes things personally, cannot separate objective task from emotional involvement.
  • Interactionist
    Pertaining to a perspective or approach that emphasizes the importance of social interactions and processes in shaping behavior and identity.
  • Kanya-kanya Syndrome
    Refers to prioritizing one's own interests over collective well-being.
  • Lack of Discipline
    A casual attitude toward time and space, manifested in lack of precision and compulsiveness, in poor time management and procrastination.
  • Lack of Objectivity
    Individuals are unable to approach a situation or topic without bias or personal influence.
  • Lack of Patriotism
    Not feeling or showing love for or devotion to one's country.
  • Lack of Self-analysis and Self-reflection
    The tendency to be superficial and somewhat flighty. In the face of serious personal and social problems, there is lack analysis of reflection, and instead satisfaction with superficial explanations and solutions.
  • Ningas Cogon
    Refers to the tendency to start something with great enthusiasm but quickly lose interest or fail to follow through.
  • Passivity and Lack of initiative
    Waiting to be told what to do, reliance on others (leaders and government), complacence, lack of a sense of urgency.
  • Patriotism
    Love for or devotion to one's country.
  • Personalism
    A doctrine emphasizing the significance, uniqueness, and inviolability of personality.
  • Precision
    Precision refers to the quality or state of being precise, accurate, or exact. It involves careful attention to detail and the ability to achieve consistency and correctness in measurements, calculations, or actions.
  • Values Education
    Refers to the aspect of the educational practice which entails that moral or political values as well as norms, dispositions and skills grounded in those values are mediated to or developed among students.
