repeated measures design

Cards (2)

  • Repeated measures is where all of the participants experience both experimental and the control conditions and then a mean of both of the results would be calculated and compared.
  • repeated measuresStrengths
A strength to this is that you need less participants as the group is experiencing both conditions, therefore less participants are needed making it less time consuming.
    Limitations:
Some limitation to this is demand characteristics and order effects.
    Counterbalancing:
Counterbalancing is a method used to control order effects and measure design. In this one group take part in condition a and then condition b, and vice versa with the other group.
