  • Conducted a meta-analysis of 50 different studies
  • Involved the use of either enhanced CI or a standard interview
  • Found ECI had an 81% increase in recall accuracy compared to standard interview
  • But also had a 61% increase in inaccurate information
• Variations of the Cl are ineffective and potentially harmful: incorrect information in real life EWTs could have dire consequences (e.g. convicting the innocent)
• The Cl lacks social acceptance as it may lead to miscarriages of justice
