• step 1:

  if data is not nominal convert

  category a - category b

  if answer negative put - if positive put +
• step 2:

  add up amount of +/-

  whichever is the least is the calculated value s=x
• step 3:

  compare the calculated value to critical value

  if the calculated value lower than critical then it is significant
