  • JFK + Nixon did 7 televised debates.
  • JFK was 43 and the 1st catholic president. He was also good friends with MLK Jr.
  • In his inauguration speech, he said “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country”
  • JFK arranged for MLK to be released from prison
  • Kennedy Family: JFK, Jacqueline (Jacky) Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, and John Kennedy Jr.

  • November 22, 1963 JFK went to Dallas to speak at a fundraiser. He traveled in an open limousine and was shot in the head by a sniper and died immediately. Jackie was by his side.
  • Lee Harvey Oswald: 24 years old ex-marine was charged with the assassination of JFK. he shot him from the third-floor of a book depository.
  • November 24th Oswald was being transferred from the police department to the city jail. Once he reached the bottom or the stairs, Jack Ruby (Dallas nightclub owner) shot + killed him
  • Ruby died in prison and never answered any questions.
  • Warren Commission: detectives, who were assigned to investigate JFK’s death. after months they determined Oswald acted alone
