The power to manage which issues are presented in public & which aren't. The media are selective in what acts of crime and deviance they choose to report. The media decide what to report based on their party, beliefs and views / morals.
Gatekeeper - the editor of a newspaper decides what the public gets to see. They are able to push a set of morals on to others (their own beliefs ).
