• appendicular skeleton consist of 126 bones
• The upper extremities consist of 64 bones (32 pairs):

  • the clavide, or collar bone
  • the scapula, or shoulder blade
  • the humerus, or upper arm bone
  • the radius and ulna, or forearm bones
  • the carpals, or wrist bones
  • the metacarpals, or hand bonesthe phalanges, or finger bones
• The lower extremities consist of 62 bones (31 pairs):

  • the three bones of the pelvic girdle, or hip bone: jlium, ischium and pubis
  • the femur or thigh bone
  • the patella or kneecap
  • the tibia and fibula, or lower leg bones
  • the tarsal bones, or ankle bones the metatarsal, or feet bones
  • the phalanges, or toe bones
