• All life has atman (soul which is part of god). Therefore harming an embryo is harming a part of god
• Violence can lead to negative karma
• Abortion is seen to be going against the principle of ahimsa (non - violence)
• Abortion seems unnatural and unethical as it is a deliberate killing of an innocent human being
