Extension

• Elastic: A material that can be stretched and returns to its original shape when the force is removed.

  Inelastic: Doesn't return to its state, Can also be called plastic
• When object is stretched there is elastic potential energy stored inside of it so the spring gains energy
• The turning effect of a force is also referred to as the moment. It is equivalent to the force multiplied by the perpendicular distance from the pivot to the line of action
• For a balanced object the moment anti clockwise is equivalent to the moment clockwise
