  • she covers Aeneas in mist and beautifies him
  • she swaps Ascanius with Cupid
• Book 2:

  • she appears to Aeneas in her true form
  • She tells him not to take his anger out on Helen
  • she lifts the veil covering his eyes so he can see the other gods destroying Troy
  • she tells him to find his family and leave Troy
• Book 4:

  • She allows Aeneas and Dido to fall in love as it gives Aeneas protection/shelter for the winter
• Book 6:

  • Sends a dove to guide Aeneas to the golden bough
• Book 8:

  • uses her beauty to convince Vulcan to make armour for Aeneas
  • Gives a sign for Aeneas to ally with the eutruscans and Arcadians
  • she later brings Aeneas his armour
• Book 10:

  • asks jupiter to pity the trojans
  • asks what they have done wrong to deserve this fate
  • says if she can save Ascanius if they are destined to lose the war
  • (332) Deflects spears away from Aeneas during his Aristeia
