  • Simile - A figure of speech that directly compares two different things, typically using the words "like" or "as" to highlight the similarities between them.
  • Hyperbole - A figure of speech in which exaggeration is used for emphasis or effect, often not meant to be taken literally. Hyperbole is used to create emphasis or to make a point more vividly.
  • Personification - A figure of speech in which human characteristics are attributed to non-human entities or abstract concepts. This literary device gives human-like qualities to animals, objects, or ideas.
  • Metaphor - A figure of speech that implies a comparison between two unlike things by stating that one thing is another. Unlike a simile, a metaphor does not use "like" or "as" to make the comparison. Metaphors create vivid imagery and convey complex ideas in a concise manner.
  • Literal Language – Stating exactly what it says. It is very straightforward that confusion has no place in it.
  • Figurative Language – Describes something by using Simile, Metaphor, Personification, and Hyperbole to name a few. It creates a vivid description and helps attain a special effect, thus forming a mental picture in the mind of the readers.
  • Precedent - Something that happened before and is used as an example for similar situations in the future.
  • Constitute - To be a part of something or to make up something.
  • Kimono - A traditional Japanese robe with wide sleeves and a wrap-around design.
  • Spite - Wanting to hurt or annoy someone; mean or malicious intent.
  • Ponder - To think deeply or carefully about something.
  • Intermingling - Mixing or blending different things together.
  • Wedlock - Being married; the state of being married.
  • Crucible - A difficult test or trial; a place where different things mix and change.
  • Foundry - A place where metal is melted and shaped into objects.
  • Vermilion - A bright red color.
  • Sever - To cut off or separate, usually abruptly.
  • Ernest - A serious or sincere person; a name for a man.
  • Bellsmith - Someone who makes or fixes bells.
  • Molten - Something that has been melted by heat, often referring to metal or rock.
  • Thrust - To push forcefully or a sudden forward movement.
