  • 230+ pts avg score by professional bowlers, 100 pts is difficult for beginners to reach
  • Urethane bowling balls are known for their smooth and controlled hook potential on medium oil conditions.
  • The ball is released by the release hand, which can be either overhand or underhand.
  • Reactive resin bowling balls offer increased friction on the lane, providing a stronger hook potential on heavy oil conditions.
  • The ball is delivered by the player using an underarm action, with one foot remaining stationary throughout.
  • A good release technique involves releasing the ball smoothly with minimal effort from the arm muscles.
  • Plastic bowling balls are ideal for beginners due to their straighter roll and less hook potential.
  • Each team has four players who bowl at the opposing team's wickets (stumps) to try to knock them over or prevent the batsmen from scoring runs.
