Temperature

• Plants photosynthesise optimally at 25°C

  
• Temperatures that are too high or too low inhibit the rate of photosynthesis
• At low temperatures enzymes become inactive
• At high temperatures enzymes denature (lose function)
• At high environmental temperatures, the stomata close to limit water loss and then carbon dioxide becomes a limiting factor
