Replication Stages

• attachment/adsorption - virion to specific receptor site on surface of the host cell.
• penetration - virus enter the host before uncoating (only the core is allowed to enter)
• uncoating - releases viral nucleic acid into the host cell so that enzymes can help transcribe, translate, and replicate form.
• biosynthesis or translation - produces more vital nucleic acid.
• assembly - combine the viral components into nucleocapsids.
• release - of completed virus
