• codification is good- limits the power of the government, gives greater authority to the judiciary, would educate the public, entrench basic rights
• codification is bad- gives unelected judiciary too much power, becomes to rigid and inflexible, rights become outdated, weakens the effectiveness of parliament
• codifications is putting up all constitutional laws onto one document
