• • Three social classes: service, intermediate and working class. These are based solely on the father’s career.
• Service class students were more likely to stay in school longer, by x4 at 16 and x10 at 18. Chances of service class attending university was 11 times higher than working class.

• • The way social classes were defined was argued upon, as it only included the father, without even including if the mother had a better job. The class system created was also strange, as it was based only on what the father’s job was and is thus an inaccurate system.
