Locus of control is how much control a person feels they have in their own behaviour. A person can either have internal LOC or external LOC.
People with a high internal LOC perceive themselves as having a great deal or personal control over their behaviour, so are more likely to take responsibility for the way they behave.
People with high external LOC perceive their behaviours as being a result of external influences or luck.
Research shows that people with a high internal LOC tend to be less conforming and obedient as they’re better at resting the social pressure.
