  Stimuli: Light
• Sense: Touch

  Sense organ: Skin

  Stimuli: Temperature and pressure
• Sense: Hearing

  Sense organ: Ear

  Stimuli: Sound waves
• The brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system (CNS).

  Some parts of the nervous system are specialised for detecting stimuli. These parts are called sense organs and have receptor cells in them.

  Information is sent along the neurones in the form of electrical impulses.
