  • Approaches - It is a set of assumption that define beliefs and theories about the nature of the learner and the process of learning.
  • Methods - It is an overall for systematic presentation of a lesson based upon a selected approach.
  • Techniques - Are the specific activities manifested in the classroom that are consistent with a method and therefore in harmony with an approach as well.
  • Demonstration method - referred as "show and tell" method.

  • Cooperative Learning - sometimes called group learning , is an instructional strategy in which small groups of students work together on a common task.

    • It provides an opportunity to solve the individual's problems by interacting with a group in a natural setting.
    • Field trips provide an opportunity to the learners to get first hand information from natural settings
  • Disadvantages of Field Trip
    • Expensive
    • Safety and security of the students is a real concern
    • If the field trip is not planned well with specific learning objectives it will result in wastage of teaching learning resources.

  • Project Method - a strategy where learners acquire knowledge through planning and execution of practical project.

    • Complex Project
  • According to Kilpatrick-kaun (2014) project plan can be classified into:
    • Constructive Project
    • Aesthetic Project
    • Problematic Project
    • Drill Project
  • Constructive Project - practical or physical tasks such as construction or article making a model and playing drama are done in this type.
  • Aesthetic Project - appreciation powers of learners are developed through musical program beautification of things and appreciation of poems and so on.
  • Problematic Project - develop the problem - solving and the capacity of learners through their experiences.
  • Drill Project - it develops mastery of the skill and knowledge of the learners.
  • Instructional Modules - is a self-contained and self-sufficient unit of instruction for the learners.
  • Resource person - are experts who contribute information and opinions to participants in a learning situation.
  • Community Materials - the use of community materials in teaching and learning brings about interactions between the school and community.
  • Utilizing resource person and community materials in teaching EPP - enhances the learning experience by providing real-life examples and practical knowledge.
