Homeostasis : the regulation of a stable, internal environment
Blood from the heart enters the kidneys through the renal arteries.
It is forced into the tiny capillaries until it enters the glomerulus. Filtrate (the stuff that gets squeezed out of the glomerulus) goes into the Bowman's capsule.
Then into the proximal convoluted tubule.
Organic solutes are reabsorbed in the proximal convoluted tubule.
Filtrate then enters the Loop of Henle.

Proximal Convoluted Tubule
Loop of Henle
Loop of Henle is where most of the reabsorption happens
Descending part of the Loop of Henle's membrane is highly permeable to water
(the starting part)
The Loop of Henle reabsorbs water
Distal Convoluted Tubule : used for slight adjustments to absorption
Define Excretion :
the removal of waste substances of metabolic reactions, toxic materials and substances in excess of requirements
