Stratified Cuboidal and Stratified Columnar Epithelium

• Stratified CUBOIDAL and COLUMNAR stratified epithelium lines the LARGER excretory ducts of the pancreas, salivary glands, and sweat glands. As well as OVARIAN FOLLICLES and MAMMARY GLANDS.
• Stratified CUBOIDAL: Parotid Gland Section
• Parts of the parotid gland, a LARGE SALIVARY GLAND, have stratified cuboidal epithelia. These epithelia are NOT COMMON and usually occur at sites of transition between simple cuboidal epithelia and stratified squamous epithelium.
• Stratified CUBOIDAL: not common
• Stratified COLUMNAR: rare
• Stratified Columnar Epithelium are found in found in the CONJUCTIVA OF THE EYE, in parts of the pharynx, the uterus, and the male urethra and vas deferens. It is also found in the lobar ducts in salivary glands.
