• SENSORY input from viscera + MOTOR input majority of muscles of larynx + pharynx; JFl damage vocal cord paralysis + difficulty swallowing = vagus n. (X)
• JF; MOTOR; paralysis of trapezius and SCM = spinal accessory n. (XI)
• weakening of tongue; difficulty speaking; hypoglossal canal = hypoglossal n. (XII)
