Viruses are not cells or living. They cannot reproduce by themselves and are 10000x smaller than animal cells.
Once a virus gets inside a cell, it can use the cell to make loads of copies of itself and burst the cell, the viruses will then find new cells. This damages our bodies and makes us feel ill.
