  • It is a mode of reproduction in which a new offspring is produced by a single parent.
    Asexual reproduction
  • In this mode of reproduction, the new individuals produced are genetically identical to each other, i.e. they are the clones of their parents.
    Asexual reproduction
  • This term means “to divide.”
    Fission
  • It is a form of asexual reproduction where a fragment of the parent breaks off and develops into an entirely new but genetically identical individual.
    Fragmentation
  • This asexual reproduction happens when an organism regrows certain parts or limbs which is lost due to predation.
    Regeneration
  • It is the process of replacing or restoring damaged or missing cells, tissues, and organs.
    Regeneration
  • During this process,  Many Spores are housed in sacs known as Sporangia. The plants produce hundreds of spores and the spore sac bursts. These spores are dispersed into the air, where they germinate and create a new plant under favorable conditions.
    Spore Formation
  • It involves taking a part of one parent plant and causing it to regenerate itself into a new plant. The resulting new plant is genetically identical to its parent. It involves the vegetative parts of a plant: stems, roots, or leaves.
