    Having nuclear weapons with the aim of deterring/preventing other states attacking for fear of retaliation and nuclear war
  • Nuclear Weapons/War
    A weapon of mass destruction which causes widespread damage and loss of life. Nuclear War would be a war fought using these weapons

    Belief that all violence is wrong, which then affects all behaviours

    Opposite of war, harmony between all in society
  • Peace-making
    Working to bring about peace and reconcilliation
  • Protest
    A statement or action to express disagreement; can be an organised event to demonstrate disagreement with a policy or political action
  • Reconcilliation
    Restoring and Rebuilding broken down relationships after a disagreement
  • Retaliation
    To pay someone back for their harmful actions
  • Terrorism
    Use of violence and threats to intimidate others; used for political purposes to build fear in the ordinary population and to secure demands from the Government
  • Victims of War
    Those who are harmed during a war, those who were killed, injured or left homeless

    Someone who believes that all people should be treated with respect and have opportunities to live life to the fullest whilst respecting the planet
  • Three factors of a humanist
    • NON-RELIGIOUS (no belief in God or afterlife)
    • SECULAR (Don't believe religion should mix with politics and education)
    • SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE (for eachother and the planet)

    Someone who doesn't believe in GOd

    Somebody who accepts we can't know if God is real or not

    Belief in humans having natural origins like all other living things. If we use our evoloution's capacity we have potential to live good and happy lives :)

    Belief in the world as a natural place with no supernatural side. Science is the best way to answer questions about the universe
