Thermosetting

• Thermosetting - can be shaped into complex shapes but cannot be reshaped again
• Thermosetting - more rigid, harder and brittle than thermoforming
• Thermosetting - excellent electrical insulators and good resistance to heat and chemicals
• ER - Rigid and durable, strong, expensive and heat resistant
• MF are smooth, food safe, lightweight but brittle
• UF - heat resistant, good electrical insulators, hard, brittle and easily moulded.
• PR - strong, heat resistant and a good electrical insulator.
• PF - very rigid, hard and brittle, excellent electrical insulators with good chemical resistance.
