  • -          pilot studies are small studies carried out with a restricted number of participants who will not take part in the actual study itself before the process of collecting data from the actual study begins.
  • -          a pilot study is basically a mockery of the actual study and aims to make sure that the materials the researchers is planning to o use are suitable and to identify any potential problems with the procedure
  • -          pilot studies are carried out with all methods of research and the feedback provided form them by those taking part in the pilot study which can be useful in adapting a study whenever necessary.
