    • In November of 1917, Germans nearly knocked Italy out the war because of their victory over them in the Battle of Caporetto , but with the support of Britain and France they were still in it

    Captured by Britain and France in the beginning of the war

  • What happened to Cameroon?
    Attacked by Britain and France, but Germans defended the attack in August 1914. It wasn't until February 1916 that it was captured

    • Japan captured German Colonies in the Pacific Ocean to support Britain - August 1914
    • ANZAC troops captured German Colonies in Samoa and New Guinea at the beginning of the War
  • What is Mesopotamia?
    Iraq, Kuwait, parts of Syria and southern-eastern Turkey
  • What happened in the Middle East?
    • British and Indian troops fought Turks in Mesopotamia, but failed in April 1916. They were joined by ANZAC forces, which helped push back Turks to their border
    • Arabs attacked Turks using a Hit and Run method supported by British Officer T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia)
    • British and ANZAC forces eventually beat the Turks in the Battle of Beersheba and Megiddo
