• A wave is a means of energy transfer
• Particles on a waves vibrates either to the direction of wave motion (Transverse waves)or to the direction of wave motion (longitudinal waves)
• A wavefront is a line which shows the transfer of energy from one particle to the next on a wave
• Transverse waves (light) ; light is a visible form of energy
• A luminous source is one which produces its own light. For example sun,lightbulb,fire,etc.
• A non-luminous source is one which reflects light off itself. For example moon,car,books,etc.
