  • community- derived from the latin word communis which means common and shared.
  • geographical- the members of the community shared the same geographic vicinity, such as village.
  • Non-geographical- this communities are formed based on needs.
  • Micro level- a group is formed based on personal social ties.
  • macro level- large group affiliations are formed.
  • implementation of community led activities- members of the community consult one another to be able to implement their plans and collaborate with one another to achive them.
  • asset transfer- the process of transferring ownership or leasehold of a property or something of a value from one person or party to another.
  • making better use of physical resources- me the use of physical resources such as rooms, buildings, open areas, or courts to support and conduct community-led activities.
  • decision making- the community engages in public events. The community may decide on their priorities, designs, and services to be conducted based on their goals.
  • Community networking- is another important activity which was first used to refer to making contacts through face-to-face interaction at events such as meetings and conferences but has since expanded in definition.
  • physical infrastructure- Includes the wires, computers, and technologies required to establish internet connectivity.
  • social info-structure- Consist of ongoing process of engaging people in purposeful applications of the physical connectivity
  • community action- any activity that aims to increase the understanding, engagement, and empowerment of communities for the intention of giving services to people. It is also described as a social action or community engagement.
  • building community and social capacity- Community action will serve as an avenue for local citizens to share their knowledge, skills, and ideas with one another.
  • community resiliency- Through community action initiatives, the committee is motivated to be able to support itself, and face possible challenges.
  • prevention- The members of the community will be able to prepare ahead of time because of the community action plans.
