  • what is cellulose?
Cellulose is biodegradable, odorless, and has no taste. It is a straight-chain polymer of carbohydrates
  • what is your sop 2?
effectiveness of calamansi peel (sop2) in terms of durability, fire resistance, water absorption, and physical strength
  • what is your alternative hypothesis?
there is a significant difference between calamansi peel and other raw materials in terms of 4 variables
  • where is the durability of calamansi peel fiberboard depends?
time exposed to sunlight, fire endurance, water absorption, and physical strength.
  • what is true experimental design?
A true experimental method is an experiment conducted to prove or disprove a cause-and-effect relationship between two variables. A true experimental method must include a control group and at least one experimental group that are randomly assigned and a researcher-manipulated variable.
  • what are the statistical methods used here?
t test and analysis of variance (ANOVA)
  • according to rejeesh and saju 2018, what are the reason for a fiber to catch a fire easily?
lignocellulosic material, is flammable, and fires can propagate promptly. It means that coir fiber has the potential to catch fire easily and once ignited, the fire can spread quickly. Lignocellulosic materials, such as coir fiber, are composed of cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, which are organic compounds that can undergo combustion when exposed to heat or an open flame.
  • why calamansi absorbed water easily?
As stated in the National Library of Medicine (2023), the peel and dregs of the fruit are high in dietary fiber, with a total of 84.25% dietary fiber, 48.49% insoluble fiber, and 35.76% soluble fiber. That is why calamansi peel fiberboard absorbs water easily than coconut husk because of its high dieatary fiber which it moist and it rots and soften easily. This results to breaks and cracks.
