  A system of glands that produce and secrete hormones into the bloodstream to regulate various bodily functions
• What does the pituitary gland do?

  Controls release of hormones from all other gland, found in the diencephalon
• What do the adrenal glands do?

  Release adrenaline, found in the kidneys
• What does the pancreas do?

  Produces insulin regulates glucose levels
• What does the thyroid do?

  Produces thyroxine, controls metabolic rate
