    1. add 2 cm³ of hydrochloric (any acid works) acid to a test tube
    2. add a small amount of carbonate to the same test tube
    3. put a bung connected to a delivery tube with limewater in into the end of a test tube and bubble the gas formed through limewater
    4. OBSERVATIONS; turns cloudy
