P1 1945-Albania fell to communism after a communist leader came into power after WW2. Additionally in 1945 East Germany became a part of Russia’s sphere of influence as agreed to at Yalta.

P2 1947- Poland fell to communism. Stalin feared that a non-communist would be elected so Stalin invited 16 non-communist to Moscow, where they were arrested. With their non-communist political opponents gone, the Polish communists won the election.

P3 1948 & 1949- Hungary were non-communist before 1948. A communist politician Rakosi took control of the police and used it to arrest his political opponents. In 1949 Czechoslovakia were the last country to fall to communism. That year only communists were allowed to stand so obviously a communist government was elected.
