• Bronchi is plural and is the part of the lungs with the bronchioles which are in the lungs, bronchus in singular
• Inhale is what you do to breathe in air
• The diaphragm contracts and expands to breathe in and out for the lungs
• Windpipe/Trachea carries the air into the lungs and is held together with cartilage and can contract if someone has asthma
• The oxygen gets dissolved in the moist walls of the alveoli and is diffused into the capilleries
• The lungs process 10,000 litres of air processed each day
• Carbon dioxide is a waste product
• The smallest veins and arteries only carry about 1 blood cell at a time and are called capilleries
• The capilleries surround the alveoli
• Alveoli are at the ends of every bronchi
• Mucus in the nose and the windpipe (trachea) trap dust and other particles. To filter the air
• The pharynx are next to the esophagus
• Subconsious part of brain lets us breath without thinking
• Carbon dioxide can make the blood acidic
• The circulatory system includes the brain, heart, liver and lungs
