• Low serotonin may pre-dispose individuals to impulsive aggression and criminal behaviour because it normally inhibits (stops/hinder) pre-frontal cortex. Hyperactive dopamine enhance effect
• Nor-adrenaline help perceive threat = low levels reduce ability
• Crowe- adopted children with biological parents with criminal record- 38% risk of having record by 18
• Only some crime- violence or ones with psychopaths

• In US prisons 60% had brain injury, only 8.5% in general population- nurture
