why developing have high birth rates

• no contraceptive
• people marry are a younger age in some developing countries
• polygamy is common in African countries. men have numerous babies to their wives.
• it is important to many men to be viewed as virile (can farther children)
• people have children to work to make a living.
• in some countries people have lots of children in the expectation that some will die (high infant mortality rates)
