  • Abraham Maslow developed his hierarchy of needs. He argued that people needed to have needs met in a specific order, and that people could not reach there potential without having met needs from the lower levels. If the needs of a lower tier are not met, then that need may fade or be pushed to the side.
  • He argued that Physiological needs was the basis of someone's motivation and in order to progress would need to have all lower needs met. Maslow often based his research on observation on groups of "well" people. As the grumble theory was a key point, being that people are never content with what they have (The grass is greener on one side of the fence). This demonstrates how we humans sought to have something different from each other, as we try to reach goals (an attempt to push for self actualization.)
