Cards (31)

  • Innercore - the innermost layer of Earth.
  • The Inner-core is made out of iron-nickel alloy.
  • The outer-core is made out of iron, nickel, sulfur, and oxygen.
  • The metals within the outer-core flows around the whole layer producing a magnetic-field and that acts as the Earths Shield.
  • The third layer is the Mantle. It is also made out of iron, oxygen, silicon, magnesium, and aluminum.
  • Crust - The outermost and thinnest layer of Earth.
  • Continental-Plates - The continents on Earth.
  • Oceanic-Plates - Are beneath the ocean.
  • Transform Boundary - When two plates slide past each other.
  • Convergent Boundary - This is where two plates move toward each other.
  • Divergent Boundary - Where two plates are moving away from each other.
  • Earthquake - Is The shaking of the surface of the earth.
  • Tectonic Earthquakes - It occurs when plates bump or scrape as they slide along each other.
