  • Interactivity
    ·       Interactivity is said to be the communication process between human and computer software.
    ·       interactive program that most people deal with because during the online session, web browser is the only interactive application that the user deals with.
    ·       Interactive means that the user or audience has control over the program or presentation
  • Multimedia
    ·       Multimedia is a broad term for combining multiple media formats. Whenever text, audio, still images, animation, video and interactivity are combined together, the result is multimedia.
     
  • 1.       Sound, Music, or Audio – If you just want to listen in the plain speech, you can always record a sound through your gadget and share it to the entire world. (e.g., WavePad)
  • Videos – is a digital moving visual image generated through video hosting sites (e.g., YouTube)
  • 1.       Online Games – Most of the developers of online games has created “Browser- based Games” today where you do not need to download and install in your PC and it is playable online via browser (e.g., EverWing, Word Blitz, Piano Music).
  • 1.       Online Tests – These are the online survey forms that automatically tabulate and calculate the results when it’s done (e.g., Online IQ, and Personality Test).

  • EDSA 1
    February 25, 1986 was an action taken by Filipino people to protest the years of abuse of power and blatant corruption under the dictatorship .During that time, gathering the sheer number of people to EDSA to join in the bloodless revolution was extremely difficult. Instant messaging during that time was only for few people and Social media doesn’t exist as a platform for people to spread the word. It was the appealed of Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin to the people through the only available form of ICT to them at the time: Radio Veritas.

    The Second EDSA Revolution, also known as EDSA II, was a political protest from January 17–20, 2001 that peacefully overthrew the government of Joseph Estrada, the thirteenth President of the Philippines. A new information and communications technology (ICT) - the mobile phone - was the symbol of the People Power II revolution in the Philippines
  • Million People March
    The so-called Million People March at Luneta was the first of a series of protests in the Philippines calling for the total abolition of the Pork Barrel fund, triggered by public anger over the Priority Development Assistance Fund scam. It was held at Luneta Park on the 26th day of August 2013. On the day of the protest itself, the hashtags used by the coordinating group #Million People March and #ScrapPork reportedly trended first in the Philippines to show widespread support for the cause and that a large number of people monitoring the event
  • Yolanda People
    Finder On the 8th day of November, year 2013, the biggest typhoon in recorded history battered the Philippines. When Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name of Haiyan) finally left the country, it left a swathe of destruction, so huge and unimaginable, the national government has been reeling from the sheer gravity of the situation. The vast use of ICT had a great impact in terms of informing others on what is happening during this calamity. A Facebook post where this user gives tips on helping out the victims of the super typhoon.
  • ·       Mobile Application - The main purpose of using mobile applications includes providing treatment information or services, remote monitoring and assistance to Corona infected patients, provide updated statistics on COVID-19, making people aware about Coronavirus
  • ·       Websites and Dashboards - Most countries have created websites, dashboards, and national portals to fight within a local sphere mainly to provide updated Corona statistics, preventive and controlling information, government and medical declarations, awareness and mental health related information, emergency contact information, hospital map, and facilitate for self-assessment and symptom reporting for the risk of COVID-19. Even Our Local Government Official FB page used this interventions.
  • Robots and Drones - Several kind of robots and drones like disinfecting robot, agricultural robot, virtual human, micro-multicopter and industry robot are being used in several countries for multiplepurposes that include transporting medical supplies, disinfection process , detection of symptoms, patient monitoring and in few cases providing physical medical support
  • ·       Artificial Intelligence - Artificial Intelligence (AI)is plays numerous roles to limit the human interaction and involvement to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic
  • ·       Data Analytics - data analytics, predictive analytic or data science is used to provide data dashboard as well as to track, predict, control, respond to, and combat the pandemic spread of COVID-19. It was also called as Digital Mapping
  • ·       Wearable Technology - Wearable computing or sensor technology are being used to detect COVID-19 cases in a mass crowd using thermal imaging, monitor and ensure quarantine of suspected patients, and measure/collect patient’s health data.
  • ·       Social Media and Learning Tools - Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram are playing a very effective role to raise awareness and spread preventive measures.
