  • Strengths -
    • uses fewer participants, saves time and money
    • participant variables are not a concern
    • each participant acts as their own control, reduces the effect of individual differences
  • limitations -
    • order effects like boredom and fatigue which may affect performance.
    • increased chance of demand characteristics, have more chances of guessing the aim.
    • lack of control, cant use a same set of stimulus material in both conditions
