  • Midterm election of November 1934 - Democrats have huge success, gaining 9 seats in the Senate (majority of 45), in the House, the majority rose to 219. Huge endorsement of the First New Deal.
  • Political spectrum
    Every political view can be placed on the scale, with some being more 'left-wing' and some more 'right-wing'. In America, both political parties are relatively central - the Democrats were slightly left-wing, the Republicans were slightly right-wing, neither of them were extreme though.
