  • The transfer of heat energy by invisible waves, and does not require a material to travel through.
  • All objects give out neat radiation - hotter objects radiate more heat.
  • When infrared waves hit objects, the particles in the object speed up and become hotter.
  • Dark objects tend to give out more radiations than shiny or light coloured coloured objects of the same temperature.
