Set up: Clean the copper and zinc with sandpaper. Add crocodile clips to the metals and connect to a voltmeter. Fill separate beakers with copper sulfate and zinc sulfate solutions. Soak the filter paper in sodium chloride and place as a salt bridge between the two beakers, with one end in each solution.
Method: Place the metals in their respective sulfate solutions. Record the reading on the voltmeter. It can be repeated and compared with different metals
