Performance Art by Marina Abramovic in 2010 at MoMA to explore the complex relationship between her and the audience using her own body to convey ideas and challenge herself and participants emotionally, intellectually, and physically. The performance ran 8 hours daily for almost three months and she met the gaze of 1,000 strangers. The show was spiritual and cathartic for some, pretentious and self-indulgent to others.
