• And your Allah is one Allah. There is no God but He, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
• His mercy takes precedence over his wrath
• He is able to do all things
• The Beneficent is established on the throne
• Each person has angels before him and behind, watching over him by God's command
• every community is sent a messenger
• Muhammad is not the father of any one of you men, he is God's messenger and the seal of prophets
• this is the scripture of which there can be no doubt
• He gives life and causes death, to Him you will be returned
• the righteous will have gardens in Paradise beneath which rivers flow
• obey those of you who are in authority
• Only what God has decreed will happen to us (Sunni)
• God does not change the conditions of a people for the worse unless they change what is in themselves (Shi'a)
• For one whose scales are heavy with good deeds, he will be pleasant in life ... For one whose scales are light, his refuge will be abyss
